David Dilbeck's Surgery Update

Updated: December 4, 2004 -- David came home yesterday afternoon and seems to be on track for a good recovery. Welcome home, David! Get well soon.

(Sometimes I'm an idiot. I said I'd be posting updates to my forum, see link below, but I forgot that you had to be registered to see the forum and read the posts. I've now fixed it so that anyone can read the updates. You still have to be registered to reply, however. Sorry 'bout that!)

David underwent surgery Wednesday afternoon for a bone spur on one of his neck vertebrae. The surgery lasted a couple of hours and the surgeon said it went well.

David was in quite a bit of pain following the surgery, but was able to move his arms and legs and we're hoping for a speedy recovery. They are keeping him sedated so he can sleep, for now.

One more website update

We'd like to thank Larry Jenkins for photos GDR-00422 and GDR-00423.

Also, it looks like the updates I made yesterday (a repeat of Friday and Sunday) have decided to stick around. Perhaps the update weirdness has ended.
