Star Racing Nationals March 21st, 2009

March 12th, 2009, Americus, GA - Star Racing would like to invite all motorcycle drag racing enthusiasts to the upcoming South Eastern Drag Racing Association (SEMDRA) season opener on March 21st. The Star Racing Nationals will be held at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) in Cecil, GA with Friday night test and tune, and time trials beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.


The one-day event features seven classes starting with the ever popular Street ET, Pro ET, Ultra Street, Super Street, Super Comp, Top Gas, and ends the round with the explosive nitrous burning Pro Mod category. Racing is fast paced and furious on the 1/8 mile track. SEMDRA has a guaranteed purse, year end bonus and no bike minimums. Three additional races are scheduled for 2009; May 30th, August 15th and October 17th. In conjunction with sponsoring the first race of the season, Star is also the year long sponsor of the 6.0 Ultra Street Class.


Do you own a V-Twin? A special V-Twin trophy class is being offered at all four events for Harley Davidson and other makes of V-Twin motorcycles. Ride your street bike to the track and experience the thrill of seeing an 1/8 mile time on the “big board.” Riders will not only earn bragging rights, but may take home a giant trophy.


Also look for Star Racing’s “big red rig” at the track March 21st. Long time winning NHRA race team owner George Bryce, and crew chief Ken Johnson will be on hand to offer track support. Come by and preview prototypes, cutting edge designs, latest developments, and the coolest upgrades for drag racing as well as street bikes.
