Bob Vandergriff's runner up finish in Top Fuel is his best effort since his return to drag racing.
Whit Bazemore lost in the first round of Funny Car to eventual winner ( and teammate ) Gary Scelzi.
Mark Whisnant ran an impressive 6.715 @ 205.07, but lost in the first round of Pro Stock to Kenny Koretsky's holeshot. Kurt Johnson also lost in round one.
Chip Ellis lost in the first round of Pro Stock Bike after suffering shifting problems.
