YEAR ONE 2004 COMMERCE CHALLENGE COMING TO ATLANTA DRAGWAY

Courtesy Tim Glover

The Year One Commerce Challenge is coming to town Friday October 8 through Sunday, October 10. There is something for everyone, including the huge multi-make Car Show, three different classes of F.A.S.T. drag racing, an all day long Test and Tune session, and a Chassis Dyno for finding out how much power your car really puts down to the pavement. The racing classes include a Quick 16 bracket race for doorslammers only, a True Street Challenge race and the Year One F.A.S.T. Series Shootout featuring Stock Appearing cars running heads up on a pro-tree. Other on track action includes jet cars and a wheelstander.

There will be a Kids Play area set up, and for all those enthusiasts looking for a rare part, a Swap Meet area and a Manufacturer's Midway is available. The car show classes will mirror the Year One catalog, and a couple of open car and truck classes will be available for other vehicles. The coveted Year One cup will be given to the single vehicle deemed most worthy by a panel of judges.

On Saturday night, a huge aerial fireworks display is scheduled for everyone's entertainment.

Spectator admission is $20 for Friday Saturday and Sunday, and $30 for Saturday and Sunday. A Friday night only spectator ticket is $10. A participant ticket, good for two adults and one car, is available for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for $50. A Saturday and Sunday only participant sticker is $60. Kids 12 and under are free with purchase of an adult ticket. Gates open at 9:00 am daily.
