AC DELCO STREET DRAG NATIONALS
September 19 and 20, 2008
http://www.streetdragnationals.com/
770-946-3954
Street Drag Races in eleven divisions including Pro, Street Outlaw, Sportsman, Domestic Advanced, Pro Four, Trucks, Tuner, Domestic, ATV, Super Bikes and Motorcycles. No starting tree. No timing system. Just straight up starts with a flagman with the first person to the finish line the winner. Rules are according to the Friday Night Drags presented by AC Delco rulebook. http://www.atlantamotorspeedway.com/documents/2008RulebookFND.pdf
Show-N-Shine car show includes judging in several classes along with a President’s Choice award selected by speedway president Ed Clark. The most popular aspect of the Show-N-Shine is the speedway cruise. All entrants parade around the high banks of Atlanta Motor Speedway showcasing their machines in front of the fans. Entries are parked along the front stretch after the parade to show off their custom paint, chrome and candy colors. The fans are allowed to get an up close look at these awesome machines while parked on one of NASCAR’s fastest speedways.
The Burn-Out Contest will be conducted a little different than traditional burn until the blow contests. This will be a competition with the fans being the judge. Competitors will be allowed to roll through the water box and burn-out through the starting line. A true burn-out competition with the drivers being allowed to show off a little to the fans.
Championship Ladder for all drag race divisions. Each division will compete to fill and eight team ladder to decide the AC Delco Street Drag Nationals Champions.
The top six seeds in the Pro, Street Outlaw, Sportsman, Domestic Advanced, Pro Four, Trucks and ATVs are locked into position. The top six drivers in Friday Night Drags presented by AC Delco season point standings were seeded first through sixth.
