Review: Rat Pack 1 1968 Pro Stock Camaro by RSC Collectibles
RSC has followed up their Bill Jenkins '68 Camaro with their newest diecast, the 1/24 scale Wally Booth Rat Pack 1 1968 Pro Stock Camaro. Wally Booth had the second quickest Chevrolet Pro Stocker in the first year of NHRA Pro Stock racing and was runner-up at the 1970 NHRA Springnationals. This effort was the best of any Chevrolets in 1970 NHRA Pro Stock national event competition, except for Bill Jenkins’ two wins early in the year.
The Rat Pack 1 Camaro continues the RSC tradition of producing quality diecast replicas. As are all of RSC products, this model came securely packaged and protected. I’ve been extremely pleased with all of RSC’s products and this one is no exception. In fact, this one may be the nicest Pro Stock diecast they have produced to date!
Some of the features of the RSC Rat Pack 1 Camaro are: beautiful metal flake paint, realistic product decals, simulated chrome trim, slotted wheels, front and rear spoilers, “Traction Action” traction bars, steerable front wheels, removable hood with scoop, “real” hood pins, magnets to secure the hood and detailed interior with shifter, tachometer and seat belts. The realistic features continue under the hood with the big block Chevy engine, plug wires, tunnel ram intake manifold, two four barrel carbs, carb linkage, cool can, fuel lines and radiator hoses.
As with RSC’s other diecast models, the proportions are correct, the tires are realistic and the paint/lettering is superb. The detail, accuracy, and craftsmanship of the RSC Rat Pack 1 1968 Pro Stock Camaro will make this a fine addition to your diecast collection.
