Atlanta Dragway Racers Dominate Jr Dragster ET Finals Race of Champions at Montgomery Motorsports Park

(October 8, 2005 - Montgomery Motorsports Park) Although they were not all racing for Atlanta Dragway, four of the finalists in the three classes contested at the NHRA Division Two 2005 Jr Dragster ET Finals held at Montgomery Motorsports Park were Atlanta Dragway regulars. All four were also powered by Young Guns Motorsports engines.
Team PTI racer Lauren Turner from Pendergrass, GA, the 2004 and 2005 Atlanta Dragway 13-17 Jr Dragster Champion, finished runner up to Corey Cox in the 13-17 Jr Dragster Race of Champions.
Joshua Sisson from Gainesville, GA, the 2004 and 2005 Atlanta Dragway 8-12 Jr Dragster Champion, finished runner up to Taylor Ramsey from Commerce, GA in the 10-12 year old Jr Dragster Race of Champions. Ramsey, also an Atlanta Dragway regular, won the 10-12 Jr Dragster Race of Champions running for Montgomery Motorsports Park in the 10-12 year old class.
Wesley Mayfield from Gainesville, GA, an Atlanta Dragway regular, was racing for Montgomery Motorsports Park in the 8-9 year old class of the Race of Champions. Mayfield scored his first Wally courtesy of a single run, as his competition committed a rules infraction during the semi-final round and was subsequently disqualified.
