Current Georgia NHRA Record Holders
Heading into the 2005 season, the Georgia racers that currently hold NHRA National Records are listed below.
On September 11, 2004 Don Eberly (Brunswick, GA) set the F/AA quarter- mile standard at 8.21 in his 2003 Chevy Cavalier. The record was set at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, GA.
NHRA Competition Eliminator Records
December 11, 2004 found two more Georgia drag racers setting records at Montgomery, Alabama. In addition to the quarter-mile records, these racers also set the NHRA 1/8 mile National Records.
Painter Stevenson (Flowery Branch, GA) set the G/SA 1/4 mile record at 11.09 @ 117.90 mph in his 1969 Chevy Nova. His new 1/8 mile mark is 6.95 @ 95.88 mph.
Brandon Wood (Thomasville, GA) set the F/FIA 1/4 mile record at 11.48 @ 113.15 mph in his 1985 Chevy Camaro. Brandon's new 1/8 mile standard is 7.19 @ 92.44 mph.
