After initially qualifying on Friday, Charlie Peppers ( Pro Stock )and Eddie Ware ( Pro Mod ) failed to make the cut on Saturday. Charlie finished in the 21st position in Pro Stock with a best of 6.618 @ 213.20 and Eddie was the 21st quickest Pro Mod at 6.420 @ 215.93. Former Pro Stock racer William Parris was defeated in the first round of Top Stock.
