Records shattered at the ESTN at South Georgia Motorsports Park

South Georgia Motorsports Park hosted the CompetitionPlus.com Eastern Spring Test Nationals March 6-14. Racers from all around the country were on hand to tune up for the upcoming Gatornationals and other events. The weather and performances were outstanding. A large crowd witnessed AMS Pro Mod history when Troy Critchley blasted to a 6.014 at 241.20 to become the first Pro Mod to top 240 mph in North America. Later, Scott Cannon and Joshua Hernandez joined the exclusive 240 mph club. Scotty Cannon was on hand for licensing passes in his Top Fuel dragster. After the mandatory half track pass on Friday, Scotty set the SGMP track record with a fine 4.752 at 309.13 on his first ever full pass in a fuel dragster on Saturday! Other outstanding performances included a new Pro Stock Motorcycle track record by Chip Ellis (6.935) a new Alky Dragster track record by Dave Heitzman at 5.334 267.96, and the first 8.30s run by a Pro Stock Snowmobile (Jason Dunigan 8.397).
