Jim Reece Passes

Jim Reece, a long time racer at Brainerd Optimist Dragstrip, passed away Thursday night, he was fifty-six years old. Jim Reece was owner of Reece Tire Company in Summerville, Georgia. I attended the funeral today and the place was packed, he was a loved man. One of the racers there told me that Randy Payne had come to the funeral home last night. In front of the casket was an arrangement of flowers in the shape and colors of his race car.
