Improvements at South Georgia Motorsports Park

Following the recently completed Super Chevy event, the asphalt was removed from the 1/8 mile to the end of the quarter mile and replaced with concrete. This project makes South Georgia Motorsports Park only the second NHRA track in the country to have a full quarter mile of concrete. On April 19, Penhall Grinding arrived to finish the project. The entire quarter mile was ground and polished. According to General Manager Shad Dean, South Georgia Motorsports Park is going the extra mile (or is that 1/8 mile?) to make this one of the premier quarter mile tracks in the Southeast. Watch for some exciting results from the ADRL Pro Mod event in May and the NHRA Division 2 points meet in June.
